O. K. Allen Bridge - Demolished

At 8 a.m. on September 26th, the O. K. Allen Bridge was demolished, making way for the new Curtis-Coleman Memorial Bridge connecting Alexandria and Pineville across the Red River in Louisiana.  It was a magnificent sight, which you may view in this video.  The demolition occurs at 1m:12s, and then it is gone.  Right after the demolition, cranes began picking the sections out of the river to clear it for barge traffic.
