Coral Bark Japanese Maple

This spring we had a coral bark Japanese maple planted at the foot of our yard beyond the stone patio.  This replaces the crape myrtle that was lost in the 2012 Christmas tornado.  We enjoyed it this summer, but in the fall as the leaves have changed color, we have marveled at its' beauty.  They went from green to almost chartreuse, then to this amber gold.  In three days it made a very nice subtle color change.
