In the northeast corner of Louisiana there is a very special place, once inhabited by indigenous people, thousands of years ago. We had the opportunity to visit the excellent information center on 3/31/2017, and then took the driving tour. View my photo video by selecting the image below and also visit this website.

Celebrating the 75th Anniversary of the Louisiana Maneuvers
On 7/17 at a cocktail reception and preview of the Louisiana Maneuvers of World War II Exhibit at the Hotel Bentley, I had the opportunity to meet Gen. George S. Patton's grandson, Pat Waters. We are pictured together holding his grandfather's combat boots.
The role of Alexandria and Louisiana in WWII is so significant. See article from The TownTalk.

Historic Bringhurst Field
This historic ballpark, built in 1933, the former home of the Alexandria Aces now sits idle. It must be restored. It could be a very special multi-use facility for events such as baseball, tournament championships, concerts, weddings, parties, etc.
Enjoy these random photos taken as I walked around the field with a small group interested in saving the field and structure.
