Hotel Bentley - Preservation in Progress award

Owner Michael Jenkins was presented with the Alexandria Historic Preservation Commission's (AHPC) Preservation in Progress Award as reported in today's TownTalk.  I'm pleased that my nomination for The Hotel Bentley project resulted in this award recognizing the significant renovation of this historic hotel in downtown Alexandria.

Post-War Suburbs Celebration

The celebration presented by the Alexandria Historic Preservation Commission will occur on Saturday morning, July 13, in our National Register historic district.   I was interviewed for some TV coverage which aired on KALB News Channel 5 last night.  Select photo below to view.

Neighborhood listed on National Register of Historic Places

Louisiana's first mid-century modern historic district is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places.  It has been very rewarding working with the Alexandria Historic Preservation Commission to communicate with our neighbors as the proposal has now become a reality.
