We had the city Animal Control bring out a raccoon trap. Ironically on the first night we set the trap, the raccoons came, and someway, they got to the food in the trap without being caught. Following that, they must have celebrated, splashed around in the pond, and ate our last fish. Last night we set the trap again, and caught one of the bandits. Evidence of play in the water was obvious; it's a family affair. Tonight we will try to trap another and send it to Animal Control. The waiting list for a trap from the city is 2 to 3 weeks, so I may need to get my own trap and let the city pick up the coons in the morning.
