Louisiana Czech Heritage Day - Libuse, LA

In the small Czech community of Libuse, a festival is held each year.  On a beautiful morning, we visited the festival which included many events, traditional dancing, wonderful food and welcoming people.

We enjoyed a sampler of dumplings, sauerkraut, and pork roast.  Our friends, David and Nicole Holcombe, wore traditional dress, and Nicole was selling beautiful handmade Pysanky eggs.  It was a special event.
