Van Gogh Gala

The River Oaks Art Center in Alexandria held it's annual fundraiser, the Van Gogh Gala, on a crisp fall evening.  This was our first time to attend this wonderful event.  There was a large crowd, great food and drink, and an art auction of pieces donated by local artists.

We were honored to have been invited to donate one of our creations, "Red River Fish on Wheels".  It was a grand evening with great friends in this very special city which we call home.

A Fall Day in Natchitoches

In mid morning we decided to drive an hour north for lunch in Natchitoches, the oldest settlement in Louisiana, founded in 1714.  After a tasty meal at Merci Beaucoup of Cajun potato (Stuffed potato topped with crawfish etoufee and a jumbo shrimp), we admired the fall decorations along Front Street overlooking the Cane River.
