Saturday Morning in Natchitoches

Home of the Natchitoches Meat Pie
On this delighful Saturday morning, we drove an hour north to Louisiana's oldest town, Natchitoches for a Meat Pie breakfast at Lasyone's.  After enjoying the delicious meat pies, eggs, and hashbrowns, we drove along Front Street and visited the Cane River Green Market and the grounds of the historic Roque House.  Then we visited George Olivier, builder of fine cypress furniture.

Janohn's - fine dining

On the way home we stopped by Janohn's Restaurant in Boyce, a fine restaurant in an old cotton gin. We look forward to a great dinner there in the near future.
