Kiwanis Crawfish Boil
On Saturday, 4/28, at the Alexandria Kiwanis Camp in Tioga, hundreds of people gathered on a beautiful day to consume nearly 3000 lbs. of boiled crawfish. This is our club's annual fundraiser to support programs for children. Five lucky winners went home with prizes ranging from $500 to $10,000.
The crawfish were great, spicy and plentiful, washed down with a cold beverage. The cameraderie was even better! Music was provided by the Garey Cathey Band.
For my northern friends who may wonder how you eat crawfish, this link is for you.

Easter at Sid and John's
We had a wonderful Easter afternoon with our dear friends, Sid and John. It was a wonderful gathering of their family and friends with great food. The little children enjoyed an Easter egg hunt, and all enjoyed the pinata (which was quite hearty). It was a very special gathering and a reason we love living in Louisiana!
